This session explored how owners rate new build houses when compared with apartments. The discussion focused on a new HomeViews white paper that analyses a sample of 8,653 verified reviews of UK new build housing and apartment developments.

Zoopla’s industry-leading Research and Insight team also provided a housing market update covering recent trends and analysis and Space & Time discussed adapting digital strategies to suit changing consumer demand.

The Houses vs Apartments white paper by HomeViews analyses reviews from owners and tenants in new Build to Sell houses and apartments. We look at scores for our five review categories – facilities, design, location, value, management – plus overall star ratings. We also assess extra HomeViews data that is not published on the site.

Residents give apartments and houses similarly positive overall ratings, with apartments generally achieving slightly higher scores. However, lower ratings in specific categories indicate where significant gains can be made.
